Tacoma Baptist scored five unanswered goals to end Shoreline Christian’s title hopes Friday in the state boys 2B/1B soccer semifinals at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner.
Trevor Talen scored off an assist from Jake Linke in the 22nd minute to start things off for Tacoma Baptist and Joshua Peters added a goal and two assists in the 5-1 win.
Shoreline Christian’s lone goal was scored by Michael Sohn in the 68th minute.
Shoreline Christian plays Riverside Christian, which lost 3-2 to St. George’s Friday, in the third-place match at noon Saturday at Sunset Chev Stadium.
