SHORELINE — A Shoreline man was found dead at his home Thursday, June 3, and his nephew has been charged with investigation of homicide.

The cause of death is multiple stab wounds, according to King County investigator James Sosik.

Timothy Short, 51, was found by his sister at 4:45 p.m., after she returned home from work. Short lived with his sister in the 14600 block of 23rd Ave. NE.

The 28-years-old suspect is the son of the victim’s sister and was living with his mother and uncle in Shoreline at the time.

The suspect was arrested in Edmonds by major crimes detectives from the King County Sheriff’s Office. He was then interviewed and booked into the King County Jail at 5 a.m. June 4. He is being held on $750,000 bail.

The case was expected to be sent to the prosecutor’s office earlier this week, said King County Sheriff’s spokesman John Urquhart. The investigation is ongoing, and no motive is known at this time, he said.
