Lions Club plans pancake breakfast

The Shoreline Lions Club is holding its annual Pancake Breakfast a couple of months early this year. In past years, the breakfast has been held in December at the Shoreline Senior Center. This year the date and location have changed.

The Shoreline Lions Club Pancake Breakfast will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12 at the Lake City Community Center at 12531 28th NE. Come join families and neighbors for a meal of pancakes, sausage, coffee, and juice.

Tickets for the all-you-can-eat breakfast are $4 for adults and $2 for children under 15. Tickets can be purchased from any Lion or by calling Red Bingham at 425-745-8390 or George Giordano at 363-9285.

Proceeds from the breakfast are used by the club to fund scholarships for local high school seniors. The recipient of the 2003 scholarship is Emily Estep from Shorewood High School.

The Shoreline Lions Club was chartered in 1947 and had been instrumental in providing assistance to Shoreline residents for the past 55 years.

LFP candidates forum planned

The League of Women Voters will be moderating a forum of all candidates running for Lake Forest Park Mayor and City Council at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15. Bring questions and concerns and make your vote count.
