Smith will put focus on the community

Lynnwood needs to see real change from the current model of governance our city is dealing with. Taxes continue to skyrocket, but services continue to decline. Our budgets have been so poorly managed that we have to turn criminals back out onto the streets after serving only half their sentencing time. Traffic is at a standstill, and we are not seeing the potential investment in our community that we should be.

It is time to stop doing business the usual way, and elect leaders who will focus on us and our community, rather than on their political careers.

The individual to lead that change is Jim Smith. In the many years I served on the Lynnwood Planning Commission, I met regularly with the city council and the mayor’s office discussing short and long-term planning for our community. Jim has the vision and experience to solve the problems our city faces. He is fiscally conservative and has consistently voted against raising taxes, not just during this election year, but throughout the time he has been on the city council.

Jim is honest and represents the core family values our community was founded on, but which many of our politicians seem to have lost sight of. He has proven he listens to the voice of the community and knows how to work with city staff, business, politicians, and members of the community to forge a shared vision for our future.

Join me in voting for a candidate who will lead us to a better future for Lynnwood. Vote for Jim Smith for mayor.
