The Mill Creek 11-and-12-year old softball team took second at the Little League West Region Tournament in Vancouver, Wash., that concluded Aug. 5.
Gilroy, Calif. beat Mill Creek 3-1 in the championship game to advance to the Little League Girls World Series at Alpenrose Field in Portland, Ore.
Mill Creek went 4-2 in the tournament with wins over Idaho (9-0), Vancouver (10-0) and Alaska (10-2), and a loss to Oregon.
