Clothes for Kids bowl-a-thon fundraiser
Clothes for Kids is hosting a bowl-a-thon fundraiser April 21 at Lynnwood Bowl and Skate, 6210 200th St. SW, Lynnwood. All proceeds benefit Clothes for Kids.
Teams are made up of five bowlers. Registration is $20 per person and includes three games, shoe rental and a “CFK Bowl-A-Thon” T-shirt.

Earth Day in Mountlake Terrace
The city of Mountlake Terrace is honoring Earth Day with a community work day and e-waste recycling event April 21.
Clean-up volunteers should meet at 9 a.m. at the Terrace Park School parking lot, 5409 228th St. SW, wearing comfortable work clothes to get their assignment. Bring gloves and tools for pruning, trimming and more. Following the work party, City Council will host an appreciation lunch for the volunteers.
Groups should contact Parks and Facilities Superintendent Ken Courtmanch at 425-776-1811 to register in advance.
Also in honor of Earth Day, Waste Management Northwest will sponsor e-waste recycling from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library parking lot, 23300 58th Ave. W. Residents can drop off old or unwanted electronics, such as desktop and laptop computers, monitors and TVs.

Housing Hope of Everett gift card drive
Throughout March, Western Washington Medical Group Family Medicine is collecting $10-$25 gift cards and rolls of quarters for Housing Hope of Everett to help struggling families using emergency shelter and transitional housing or critical services.
Donations can be dropped off from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at Western Washington Medical Group Family Medicine, 12728 19th Ave. SE, Suite 300, Everett.

Skandia hosts family dance for First Friday
• April 6: At the regular Skandia First Friday Dance, dancing begins at 8 p.m. with the Lilla Spelmanslag; followed by the Gammel Dansk from Vancouver at 8:30 p.m.
The dance is held at the Cedar Valley Grange, 20526 52nd Ave. W, Lynnwood. Cost is $10, $7 for members; kids are free. A family dance, including a pizza dinner, is held at 6 p.m. the same night. Take the Mensa test on Mercer Island
Teens and adults are invited to take the American Mensa Admission Test, April 14 at the Mercer Island Community Center, 8236 SE 24th St., Mercer Island. Parental permission is required for those ages 14-17.

“Our Puget Sound, In Depth” are free monthly presentations led by experts, presented by the Washington State University Extension Beach Watchers. Presentations take place at 7 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month at Mukilteo City Hall, 11930 Cyrus Way, Mukilteo.
This month’s topic, April 4, is “The Whale Trail” with Donna Sandstrom, president and executive director of The Whale Trail project. The Whale Trail is a series of sites around the Northwest where the public can view orcas, other whales and marine mammals from shore.
