South County city officials filling roles with county group

Elected officials from South Snohomish County are among those filling leadership roles in the Association of Snohomish County Cities and Towns for 2007.

The following officers were elected during the organization’s Jan. 18 dinner meeting hosted by the city of Lynnwood: Robert Amenn, Gold Bar council member, re-elected president; Laura Sonmore, Mountlake Terrace council member, re-elected vice president; and Michelle Robles, Mountlake Terrace council member, was elected secretary/treasurer.

Appointed by Amenn to sit on the executive board are Joe Marine, mayor of Mukilteo, mayor at large; and John Zambrano, Mountlake Terrace council member, member at large.

Deanna Dawson of the Edmonds City Council also serves on the board as past president of the organization. Linda Carl, executive assistant to the mayor of Edmonds, is administrative assistant to the board.
