SOCCER CAMP: F.C. Seattle Soccer Camp, sponsored by Shorelake Soccer Club, will be held July 30 – Aug. 3 at Kellogg Middle School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily. Open to ages 6 to 15. For more information and to register, please go to www.fcseattle.com.

ROTARY RUN: Pre-registration is now available online for the Celebrate Shoreline Rotary Run Aug. 18 at 9 a.m. at Shoreline Stadium. The event includes a 5K run or walk and a 10K run. Visit www.shorelinerotaryrun.org to register online, or at Shoreline Stadium beginning at 7:45 a.m. the day of the race. Adult pre-registration is $20 and $25 the day of the race; $15 for middle and high school students and $10 for children 12-and-under. Participants get a T-shirt and goody bag.

The run is flat and fast, and many runners post their fastest times on the course. For walkers the parks and back streets create a peaceful environment to walk with friends and pets (scoop and leash laws apply.) The run is sponsored by the Shoreline Rotary Foundation with proceeds going toward the Shoreline Community College Foundation and the YMCA/Family Center of North King and South Snohomish counties.

GOLF TOURNAMENT: The Shoreline Breakfast Rotary Club will hold its 13th annual golf tournament Monday, Aug. 13 at Mill Creek Country Club. The four-person scramble event will begin with registration at noon and tee-off at 1 p.m.. The entry fee of $125 per player or $500 per team includes green fees, cart, gifts and dinner. The tournament will include closest-to-the-pin, long drive, short drive and hole-in-one contests. Proceeds from the event benefit club service projects such as the International Student Exchange, college scholarships, the Shoreline Public Schools Foundation, community involvement projects and international water projects. BASEBALL TRYOUTS: NW Titans Baseball Club is holding tryouts for their 2008 U14 Select team on Aug. 8, 12, 14 and 18. The team will play in the Sandy Koufax Olympic division and play tournaments throughout the Northwest, Arizona and Canada as well as a World Series trip. SHORELAKE SOCCER CLUB: Registrations for Shorelake Soccer Club fall soccer are being taken through Sept. 30 for players ages 4 to 18. Fee is $75 to $95, plus late fee of $15. No experience required. Information: www.shorelake.org or 206-362-3594.

PICK-UP HOOPS: Players 18 and older are welcome to participate in pick-up basketball games 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Shoreline/South County YMCA. Fee: $7. Information: 206-364-1700.

SHORELINE POOL: Swim lessons for children and adults, lifeguard training, open swim sessions and other aquatics programs are offered year-round at Shoreline Pool. Information: 206-362-1307.

WEIGHT ROOM: The Spartan Gym weight room at Shoreline Center is open 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The weight room includes a variety of free weights and both cardiovascular and aerobic equipment (including treadmills, recumbent bikes, elliptical machines, etc.). Drop-in fees are $2.50 per visit for adults and $1 for youth.

ICE HOCKEY: Highland Ice Arena in Shoreline offers a hockey program for adults and youths 5-14. Adult drop-in hockey games are from 10:15-11:45 p.m. on Wednesdays and from 5:30-7 p.m. on Saturdays. Player slots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. All players are required to wear helmets. Information: 206-546-2431.
