Turning Pointe Dance Center presents 15th Annual Dance Recital: 12 and 5 p.m. Saturday, June 26, Turning Pointe Dance Center, home to jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, hip hop, tap, swing and creative movement dance instruction, presents its annual recital with the theme “Oh What A Night!” at Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Avenue N, Edmonds. MOUNTLAKE TERRACE

“The Food of Love: Music and Poetry in the Library”: 1 p.m., June 26, local poet Kwami Nyamidie will read from his book “Ready for your Love” and other works. Joining him is local musician Paul Nyenhuis performing on a variety of handcrafted Native American flutes. Held at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W, Mountlake Terrace. “Creating our Future: Choose the Arts!”: 5:30 p.m., June 25, Jazz Diva Gail Pettis entertains at the Shoreline Arts Council’s 2010 Gala for the ARTS, with a live auction, juried art show, wine, dinner and more, at Shoreline Center, 18560 1st Ave. NE, Shoreline. “King Arthur’s Quest”: 1 and 5 p.m., June 26, The Missoula Children’s Theatre performs “King Arthur’s Quest” as part of the Shoreline Arts Festival, at the Shoreline Center Auditorium, 18560 1st Ave. NE, Shoreline. Tickets: $7, available at the door or by visiting www.shorelinearts.net. Auditions for the show will be held 4-6 p.m., June 21 at the Shoreline Room at the same address. Roles are available for kids grades K-12.
