“Physical Poetry”: 8 p.m. Friday &Saturday, Jan. 9 &10, The Shorecrest High School Dance Team will be hosting two nights of professional dancing, representing hip hop, jazz, salsa, tap, modern, tango, breakdancing, and others forms, at the Shorecrest Performing Arts Center, 15343 25th Ave. NE, Shoreline. Featured companies include Phyzikal Graffi-T, Cruz Control, Breaking Point Dance Company, Gotta Dance, Westlake Performing Group, Enertia Modern Dance Company, Premier Dance Company, Kontagious Movement, Butch Queens, Shorecrest Hip Hop, En Lair Dance. Kermet Apio &Friends Evening of Comedy: 7 p.m. &9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, local comedian Apio and fellow comedians Susan Rice and Drew Barth band together for this show benefiting the music department and classrooms of Terrace Park School, performing at the Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St., Edmonds. Tickets: $20 general, available through Brown Paper Tickets, www.brownpapertickets.com; also available are $55 VIP tickets for a special pre-show event at 5:30 p.m. that includes meeting the comedians, wine and beer, appetizers and priority seating at the 7 p.m. show.
