“Everybody Loves Opal” — 8 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays, 7:30 p.m. Sundays, through Oct. 27: Edge of the World Theatre, 9673 Firdale Ave., Edmonds, gets their season underway with John Patrick’s comedy about an eccentric recluse with a sizable fortune, and the con artists who conspire to separate the two. SAC Readers Theatre — 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23: The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council presents the first installment in the 2006-07 Readers Theater program, a reading of “Soul Plays” by Nicola Pearson, four short plays representing the progression of the soul in the journey from creation to the afterlife, at the Shoreline Center’s Aurora Room, 18560 1st Ave. NE, Shoreline.
