The following are the Shoreline Rotary Club’s students of the month for January 2006.

Shorewood High School

Emma Kallaway

GPA: 3.889

Clubs: LINK Crew; S.H.A.P.E., an HIV/AIDS awareness club; Band; Creating a World of Difference; Diversity Council.

Honors: Honors and Advanced Placement classes.

Athletics: Three-year letter winner for cross country.

Community service: Documented 326.5 hours of volunteer work through junior year; worked with the homeless; environmental clean up.

Future plans: A career in public health or international aid.

Danhua Ma

GPA: 3.993

Clubs: Leadership.

Honors: National Merit Semi-Finalist; All-State Chamber Orchestra.

Athletics: Co-captain for varsity tennis.

King’s High School

Tatiana Noel

GPA: 3.5

Clubs: Started a Christian dance team; founding a service ministry associated with World Concern.

Honors: Honor roll for two years.

Athletics: Junior varsity volleyball; varsity soccer and track.

Community service: Serves at Fairview Christian church on the worship team; serves in the Children’s Ministry.

Future plans: Attend Northwest University in Kirkland to major in secondary education; obtain masters degree in teaching and teach at a private school.

Rachel Williams

GPA: 3.8

Clubs: King’s Players; ministry group; LINK Crew freshman mentor.

Honors: National Honor Society; honor roll.

Athletics: Volleyball.

Community service: Counselor for Camp Casey; mission trips to Mexico.

Future plans: Attend a college or university.
