Lynnwood
Sarah Tobin
GPA: 3.68
Clubs: Served as leader of Link Crew and member of National Honor Society.
Honors: Took honors English and CIHS English.
Community Service: Volunteered time as a counselor at an overnight summer camp for children with muscular dystrophy.
Sports: Participated on the varsity soccer and tennis teams and played indoor soccer.
Future Plans: Will attend either Western Washington University or the University of Washington and plans on becoming a psychologist or counselor.
Rico Mark V. Urtula
GPA: 3.61
Clubs: Participated with the Math Team, Science Olympiad, Hi-Q, Key Club, FBLA and Royal Student Volunteer Program.
Honors: Received academic excellence recognition in honors geometry, honors algebra 3 and 4, physical science and Washington state history.
Community Service: Participated in Trick or Treat for UNICEF, the canned-food drive, Read and Lead at Martha Lake Elementary, Civic Lights and the Easter Egg Hunt.
Sports: Lettered in tennis.
Future Plans: To major in business at the University of Washington.

Shawn Chitnis

Clubs: Participated in Link Crew, DECA, HBN, WASMUN and French Club.
Honors: Received American Citizenship Award freshman year and a perfect attendance honor sophomore year. Competed at the Journalism Education Association Convention and DECA competitions.
Community Service: Volunteered in counseling center (2001-03) and at the Pacific Science Center (2001-02) during the summer.
Future Plans: Will attend the University of Southern California and would like to pursue a career in broadcast journalism.
Thomas Carpenter
GPA: 3.9
Clubs: Participated in National Honor Society and Hawkeye.
Honors: Was the National Quill and Scroll winner for editorial writing and received honorable mention at the NSPA/JEA conference.
Community Service: Tutored students in chemistry and math and did local mission work.
Future Plans: Will attend Seattle Pacific University to major in psychology and philosophy.
Meadowdale
Quinn Brewe
GPA: 3.8
Clubs: Participated in Leo Club, Link Crew and National Honor Society.
Honors: Captain of varsity basketball and was MVP of school team and Class 3A state tournament. Named to Star Times team and Seattle P-I’s Winner’s Circle, AP Player of the Year for Washington state, Seattle Times and Everett Herald Player of the Year.
Community Service: Volunteered as a basketball coach and with Link Crew.
Sports: Four-year member of varsity basketball and team captain for two years.
Future Plans: Will attend Seattle Pacific University.
Brenna Killin

Clubs: Member of National Honor Society.
Honors: Recognized as an athlete of the month and cheerleading captain senior year.
Community Service: Served as a teacher assistant at Beverly Elementary, counselor at Vacation Bible School and went on a mission trip to Mexico.
Sports: Cheerleader for two years.
Future Plans: Will attend Western Washington University and would like to join the Peace Corps.

Souzana Obretenova
GPA: 3.991
Clubs: President of Junior State of America Chapter, member of National Honor Society and Link Crew leader.
Honors: Full IB diploma candidate, student of the month for calculus AB, Wesco Academic Achievement 2003 and certificates of achievement in IB calculus AB, IB organic chemistry, IB French and IB history of the Americas.
Community Service: Volunteered at College Place Elementary and as a math tutor.
Future Plans: Attend school on the East Coast and become a corporate lawyer.
Nick Wellington
Clubs: Was in Link Crew, Mello-Aires and a sports trainer for cross country and girls basketball.
Honors: IB certificate candidate in history and biology, received a departmental student of the month award, voted “Best Personality” for the Class of 2004, participated at National Youth Leadership Conference and is a first-degree black belt in Shito-Ryu Karate.
Community Service: Volunteered many hours at Francis Anderson Center summer camps.
Sports: Participated in cross country from 2000-03, track from 2000-03 and in Shito-Ryu Karate for eight years.
Future Plans: Plan to study pre-medicine at either Western Washington University, Seattle Pacific University or the University of Washington.
