Studies wasting taxpayer money

In a recent letter, Congressman Jay Inslee stated that the provisions of the House energy bills and his amendments will reduce human “admissions by as much as 10.4 billion tons.” He implies that this will be accomplished in 30 years.

How much global temperature will be saved by reducing these emissions? The environmental radicals are willing to tell us their computer projected guesses as to world temperature increases but they don’t tell us how much of a reduction in global temperature we can expect from reducing the human carbon output.

Using the above CO2 “admissions” and assuming that the time interval of the savings is 30 years, a simple mathematical calculation using historic emissions rates and data shows that this “savings” would result in a reduction of a global warming temperature of 0.0006 degree Celsius.

Whoopie! At that rate it would take 1,667 years to reduce global temperatures by 1 degree Celsius!

How many billions will have been spent by government to make this savings? At the rate that the new government’s dependent environmental industry is growing, it will be considerable. And we will have no new energy sources that will adequately replace fossil fuels to show for it. Just studies and more spending of taxpayer money.

How about eliminating onerous regulations that prevent drilling for more oil and getting it from shale and building new refineries and nuclear plants? This action will create real, productive private sector jobs and open the door to new hydrogen fuel cell power.

In less than 40 years, France has reduced her fossil fuel consumption by 80 percent by building new nuclear plants and recycling the nuclear waste. Meanwhile, we sit on our butts, vote for bigger government and get nothing to show for it.
