Edmonds Arts Festival

When: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, June 19-21.

Where: Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main St., Edmonds.

What: The 52nd annual arts celebration spans three days over Father’s Day weekend with more than 750 artist exhibitors, fine arts and crafts exhibits, children’s art exhibits, hands-on children’s activity area, live entertainment on two performance stages, limited edition posters, food court and wine bar &bistro. Proceeds support arts scholarships, educational grants, public art and community arts organizations.

Shoreline Arts Festival

When: 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, June 27 &28.

Where: Shoreline Center, 18560 First Ave. NE, Shoreline.

What: The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council’s 19th annual celebration of art features two stages of music and dance, juried art, sculpture, photography and poetry hall, hands-on art activities, artisan marketplace and food. The Missoula Children’s Theatre will present “The Princess and the Pea,” featuring a cast of 50 local students (separate $6 admission); other events include Northwest Collage Society Exhibit and Collage Making workshop, Shoreline Philippine Festival, Chinese Cultural Room, Eritrean African Cultural Room, a used book sale and school Artist-in-Residence &arts project displays.

Skandia Midsommarfest

When: 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, June 28.

Where: St. Edward State Park, Kenmore.

What: Skandia Folkdance Society’s 50th annual authentic Nordic celebration of the summer solstice features a folk parade and raising of the Midsommar Pole, dancing, music, children’s activities, traditional handicrafts and food and participants in authentic Nordic costumes.

Celebrate Shoreline

When: Noon-5 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14-16.

Where: Various locations, Shoreline.

What: Shoreline’s 14th birthday celebration includes a teen skateboard competition and party event at the Connie King Skate Park; a parade and a festival at Ridgecrest Elementary School featuring food booths, arts &crafts, community groups and car show on Saturday; and a sandcastle contest Sunday at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park. The North City Jazz Walk kicks off the event early this year on Aug. 11, followed by the Ridgecrest Neighborhood Annual Ice Cream Social.

Bothell RiverFest

When: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30.

Where: between Main St. &NE 185th St., downtown Bothell.

What: Annual community event celebrates the end of summer with fun, food, and entertainment for all, including car show, City of Bothell Show &Tell, craft &merchants market, inflatable toys and other activities for kids, hobby &volunteer expo, and a concert.

Admission: Free.

Edmonds Classic Car Show

When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13.

Where: Fountain area, downtown Edmonds.

What: Annual classic car show in downtown Edmonds features 1979 and older stock cars &trucks, muscle cars, modified custom cars and vintage classics with awards, games, prizes, plus a vendors row.

Admission: Free.
