Mill Creek

Meet Me in Mill Creek Festival — 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, July 8 &Sunday, July 9: 6th annual festival features two entertainment stages, Kid’s Korner, arts &crafts, food court &wine bistro, vintage Corvette show, 5K &10K non-competitive walk, 3-on-3-basketball tournament, Fire District 7, non-profit organization and commercial booths, on Main Street between 153rd St. SE and 151st St. SE, Mill Creek Town Center. Shoreline

Swingin’ Summer Eve — 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 26: Annual event includes live music by Rainy City Riff Raff, a barbecue fundraiser by the Shoreline Fire Dept. and pre-concert games and activities for children, at Cromwell Park, 18009 Meridian Ave. N., Shoreline. Celebrate Shoreline — Noon-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20: Begins Friday with teen skateboard competition and party at the Connie King Skate Park, Saturday opens with the 5K walk/run and 10K run at 9 a.m., followed by parade at 11 a.m. along 15th between 180th to 165th streets, ending at Ridgecrest Elementary with food booths, arts &crafts, community groups and car show. Tour de Terrace — Noon-11 p.m. Friday, July 28, 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, July 30: The 13th annual festival begins with a parade Friday evening; Saturday’s festivities kick off in the morning with a 5K run, pancake breakfast, then continue with a street fair, live music, a carnival, miniature golf, arts &crafts, a car show and a fireworks display at 10 p.m., all at Evergreen Playfields, 56th Ave. W &224th St. SW, Mountlake Terrace. Brier SeaScare &Porchlight Parade — 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9: 5th annual event features a kid-focused parade with a “sea” theme — scary sea creatures, octopi, pirates, boats, nautical or any sea related idea, kid’s games and activities, food drive, book sale, live music, pie eating contest, “Outdoor Cinema,” food and beverages, in downtown Brier. Lynnwood Rotary Hi! 5 Fun Run — 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27: 2nd annual run features a 10K Certified Run, 5K Run, 2K Walk and Kids Dash, at Alderwood Mall, 3000 184th St. SW, Lynnwood; 7:30 a.m. registration, Kids Dash at 8:45 a.m. Admission: $20 early registration, $25 day of the race; Kids Dash is free. A Taste of Edmonds — 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday &Saturday, Aug. 11 &12, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13: Washington’s 2nd largest three-day festival offers the opportunity to sample local restaurants and food vendors, arts &crafts booths, children’s area, four entertainment stages, roaming performers and separate beer &wine gardens, at Civic Playfield, Sixth &Bell, Edmonds.
