LYNNWOOD — A heavy police response at a Martha Lake-area home ended peacefully early Jan. 14 when two people inside surrendered, Everett police said.
Police and Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies had converged Jan. 13 around the home near Fourth Avenue West and Lakeview Road. Officers blocked off the neighborhood and a sheriff’s helicopter at one point hovered above.
The people inside surrendered around 2 a.m. Jan. 14, Everett police Sgt. Ryan Dalberg said. By that point, King County’s Special Weapons and Tactics team members had relieved their local counterparts.
Afterward, Everett detectives executed a search warrant to collect evidence from the home, Dalberg said.
Authorities have declined to provide specifics about the reason for the operation beyond saying that is related to a recent home-invasion robbery.
