T-Mobile USA, Inc. recently announced a plan to relocate its Information Technology Center to Bothell’s Canyon Park next spring. The move consolidates several hundred high-tech jobs from facilities across the region to the City of Bothell and Snohomish County.
The company has signed lease agreements for several newly constructed, unoccupied office spaces in the Canyon Park/Bothell area. In 2007, there were approximately 1,400 wireless telecommunications jobs in Snohomish County. This expansion represents a 50 percent increase in wireless telecommunications jobs in the county. The Snohomish County Economic Development Council estimates that for each wireless telecommunications job added, one additional job is created within the community.
