Lake Forest Park

Shoreline

Hang Time at Kellogg Middle School — 3-5 p.m. Tuesdays-Thursdays: Shoreline/South County YMCA hosts this program for teems offering tutoring, leadership activities, intramural sports, arts &crafts, cooking, martial arts, and other activities at Kellogg Middle School, 16045 25th Ave. NE. “The REC” drop-in hours — 2:30-7 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays, 2:30 p.m.-midnight Fridays, 7 p.m.-midnight Saturdays: “The REC” at 16544 Fremont Ave. N., has reopened with new digs and daytime hours. This free, late-night teen program, is open to ages 12-19 with a variety of supervised recreational activities. Info: 206-542-6511.

“The ANNEX” drop-in hours — 8 p.m.-midnight Fridays &Saturdays: This free, late-night teen program is open to all teens ages 12-19 to hang with friends, shoot pool, play hoops, eat free food, and basically get away from it all. Lynnwood

Lynnwood Library Young Adult Writers Group — 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays: Bring an original story, tale, poem or essay to this “coffee-table” style writing workshop to read and share with others. Info: 425-778-2148.

The Neutral Zone — 9 p.m.-midnight Fridays &Saturdays: Free late-night program at Scriber Lake High School, 20525 52nd Ave. W., Lynnwood, offers supervised recreational and social activities for teens. Info: 425-776-5647.

Night Waves — 9:15-11:15 p.m. Saturdays: Swimming, racquetball, wallyball and weight room access exclusively for ages 12-18 at the Lynnwood Rec Center, 18900 44th Ave. W. Must wear white-soled shoes on racquetball courts. Picture ID required. Cost: $2. Info: 425-771-4030.

Kidsitters Babysitter Certification class — 9 a.m.-3 p.m. 3rd Saturdays: Ages 11-16 can earn a babysitter’s certification from Evergreen Healthcare certified instructors. Child development, good nutrition and feeding, proper hygiene and bedtime tasks, first aid and emergency guidelines covered. Cost: $30, includes book and ID certification card.
