Friends of the Mountlake Terrace Library book sale.
Shop the Friends of the Library used booksale, and bring home an armload of reading pleasure. A good selection of used books for all ages will be for sale at great prices during a special four hour sale.
The sale will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 6. Light refreshments will be served, and the good company comes free of charge. All proceeds go to the Library at the Mountlake Terrace Public Library, 23300 58th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace. For more information, call 425-776-8722.
Mill Creek Sports Park Celebration. After months of delays — both construction and weather-related — the city’s formal dedication of the Mill Creek Sports Park is set to take place.
The event is set for 9 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, March 6 at the park, located at 13903 North Creek Dr., just northwest of the Trillium Boulevard-Bothell-Everett Highway intersection. In addition to the ceremonies, the day will also mark the opening of Mill Creek Little League’s season. The Skateboard park at this location is also open.

After almost 30 years, Bethesda Lutheran’s Pastor Dan Selmann is retiring. Selmann will preach his last sermon at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, March 7 at Bethesda Lutheran, 23406 56th Ave. W in Mountlake Terrace. A celebration at the church will follow the service.

Mill Creek Garden Club meets

Free child car seat checks are now available every Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m. by appointment, at the Lynnwood Police Station at 19321 44th Avenue West. Lynnwood Rotary Club meets at noon every Thursday at the

There is an ongoing play group from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursdays at Maplewood Presbyterian Church at 19523 84th Ave. W. Friday
The Neutral Zone, a non-profit organization which benefits at risk youth, continues its safe and supervised Friday and Saturday night programs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Scriber Lake High School, 20525 52nd Ave. W in Lynnwood.
