The Edmonds Driftwood Players present an Alternative Stages production of the dramatic thriller “The Turn of the Screw” in three shows this Halloween weekend.

Based on Henry James’ provocative tale of suspense, horror and repressed sexuality, this adaptation by Jeffrey Hatcher gives the famous story yet another turn of its own. When a new governess begins to see the specters of her predecessor and the former valet haunting the children. and she must find a way to stop the fiends before it is too late. But one frightening question tortures the would-be heroine: Are the ghosts real, or are they the product of her own fevered imagination? “The Turn of the Screw” is directed by John Gonzales and features Shawn Yates and Gordon D. Hendrickson.

Alternative Stages productions are special, limited engagements with dessert theatre performances. Tickets are $10 for the show and include dessert buffet following each performance.
