The following are selected reports from the Edmonds Police Department’s police blotter:
August 12
Theft. 21000 block of Hwy 99. Unidentified suspect stole tip jar from counter at Starbucks.
August 13
Forgery. 100 block of 3rd Ave. S. Suspect used forged prescription to obtain oxycontin. The suspect is known to victim’s doctor.
Theft. 23000 block of 100th Ave. W. Suspect attempted to use victim’s stolen health insurance card to obtain refill of prescription at a drug store.
August 14
Burglary. 21900 block of 70th Ave. W. Commercial burglary of optometrist’s office.
Missing Person. 21000 block of 76th Ave. W. Edmonds rehabilitation reported missing patient.
August 15
Weapon. 17000 block of Olympic View Dr. Police received report of male suspect at local party with handgun. Residence was secured and cleared with the gun located inside and taken for safekeeping.
August 16
Assault. 100 block of Main St. Report of fight at local bar. Multiple suspects arrested after refusing to cooperate with police.
August 17
Weapon. 8500 block of Bowdoin Way. Police received report of suspect drinking and urinating in public, which resulted in warrant arrest. Paraphernalia and dangerous weapon discovered during investigation.
August 18
Narcotics. 20000 block of 76th Ave. W. A traffic stop revealed the driver to be suspended with a pending warrant. Drugs were found on the driver, who was arrested and booked at Snohomish County Jail.
Malicious Mischief. 8000 block of 188th St. SW. Seaview Elementary School vandalized with graffiti over the weekend by different suspects. Two have been identified, but no charges are pending per school.
Theft. 1000 block 9th Ave. S. A stolen debit card number was used to fraudulently purchase items from Amazon.com.
