Top athletes recognized by Wesco 4A

The Edmonds-Woodway baseball team had four players selected to the Western Conference 4A South Division baseball first team.

Catcher Josh Waite, first baseman Ian Gac, outfielder Steve Quealey and utility player John Gegax earned first-team honors.

Meadowdale pitcher Tyler Haggett also was a first-team selection.

Four Mountlake Terrace players were recognized with first-team, all-league softball honors. First baseman Chelsea Logan, second baseman Brianna Knight, third basemen Jamie Foote and outfielder Annie Everett were selected. Edmonds-Woodway pitcher Tracie Adix also was a first-team honoree.

Meadowdale forward Colin Hughes, midfielder Josh Swett and goalkeeper Eric Marty were first-team, all-league boys soccer selections. Edmonds-Woodway forward Nicholas Varlamos, midfielder Kevin Forrest and goalkeeper Hawk Mummey also earned first-team honors.
