Hot rockin’ and swingin’ blues band the Blues Torpedoes will take the stage at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11 to heat things up in Richmond Beach Park as part of the Shoreline-LFP Arts Council’s summer concert series.

This five piece band based out of Olympia has been entertaining Northwest blues fans for over nine years. Their music is based on vocals and guitar with a swingin’ thumpin’ groove that will get listeners moving. Inspired by Etta James, Freddie King, Janis Joplin and Stevie Ray Vaughn, the group successfully mixes jazz, rock, country and pop influences to form what they like to call “danceable blues.”

The performance is part of Concerts in the Parks series sponsored by Shoreline-Lake Forest Arts Council. Richmond Beach Community Park is located at Richmond Beach Road and 21st Ave. NW in Shoreline. The performance is free to the public. For more details call 206-417-4645 or visit www.shorelinearts.net.
