Mountlake Terrace will host its annual tree lighting ceremony Dec. 5, 6:30 p.m. at Evergreen Playfield, 22205 56th Avenue W. The event features music, refreshments and a visit from Santa Claus. Lions Club volunteers serve cocoa and cookies while children carol. The “tree” is a frame constructed of over 900 lights on top of the City’s water tower and is seen from miles around. The Lions Club partners with the City’s police, public works, recreation/parks departments and Snohomish County Fire District 1 to put on this festive event.
