Santa’s Arrival by Sleigh &Tree Lighting — 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6: Santa arrives by sleigh from the sky, followed by a traditional Christmas tree lighting. Country Village Santa Brunch — 10:30 a.m. &noon Sunday, Dec. 7: Enjoy food, Santa trivia contest, live Nutcracker characters, photos with Santa, and letters to Santa at this event in Courtyard Hall. Tree Lighting — 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6: Community trees lighted at 6:15 p.m.; Santa arrives at 6:30 p.m. Coffee, cocoa, cookies and candy canes served with a performance by the Bel Cantos Singers. Celebration of Lights — Nov. 26-Jan. 2: Light a light this holiday season for someone you love, something you wish for, or in remembrance of a loved one, at the living fir tree at the Frances Anderson Center entrance, 700 Main St. Lights are $5 each and donated funds go to the City of Edmonds Youth Scholarship Fund. Edmonds Tree Lighting Ceremony — 2-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29: The Special Guest from the North Pole arrives for the lighting at Centennial Plaza in front of City Hall and on the Public Safety Complex Parking Lot. Free hot cider, cookies, popcorn, coffee; storytelling, choir performances, Olympic Ballet dancers and a sing-a-longs.
Christmas Ships — 7-9:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9: Depart from the Edmonds Marina on the Argosy Christmas ships for a tour of Edmonds and Richmond Beach waterfronts (Tickets: $19 adults, $14 children, ages 5-12); or gather on shore at the Edmonds Waterfront Fishing Pier to view the festive parade of boats and participate in a sing-a-long. Windjammers Choir performs aboard the lead Christmas ship as they visit Edmonds from 7:10-7:40 p.m., then continue on to Richmond Beach from 8:20-8:50 p.m. Info: 206-623-1445 or argosycruises.com.

Christmas Ships — 6:30-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18: Depart from Kirkland on the Argosy Christmas ships for a tour of Magnuson Beach and Lake Forest Park Civic Club waterfront (Tickets: $29 adult, $17 children, ages 5-12); or gather around scheduled bonfires on shore to view the festive parade of boats. Olympic Ballet Theatre Santa Breakfast — 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20: OBT combines a “Mini-Nutcracker” performance with a visit from Santa Claus and his elves at the Embassy Suites, 20610 44th Ave. W. Breakfast, holiday music, door prizes, and photo opportunities with Santa. After the performance the children in the audience will be invited to dance with the characters from The Nutcracker. Christmas Ships — 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11: Welcome the Christmas Ships as they stop near Richmond Beach. Gather around the bonfires, sip coffee or cider provided by the City of Shoreline Parks Department, and enjoy cookies served by the Richmond Beach Community Council. North City Holiday Tree Lighting — 5:30 p.m. Saturday Dec. 6: The North City business community decorates for the mayor as he lights the tree on the Water Tower. Singing, coffee, cocoa, candy canes in the business parking lot at 17754 15th NE.
