Trinity Lutheran Church’s “Artists at the Organ” organ recital series concludes its season 7 p.m. Sunday, April 25 with a performance by Pamela Ruiter-Feenstra.
Ruiter-Feenstra is professor and university organist at Eastern Michigan University, where she teaches organ and harpsichord, and courses in improvisation, literature, organ building and sacred music. She is well-known for her performances and presentations at conferences and academies in the United States and Europe. Her program will feature the music of J. S. Bach, Jeanne Demessieux and her own improvisations, based on Chorales throughout the church year.
The organ was designed and built for Trinity Lutheran Church by Martin Pasi Organ Builders of Roy, Wash. The 29 stop, two manual, mechanical action instrument is encased in an Italianate, freestanding black walnut case.
Suggested donation for the concert is $10 for adults, pay as able for seniors and students. Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 6215 196th St. SW in Lynnwood.
