For the third year, Trinity Lutheran Church has added a special “Young Artists at the Organ” concert to its schedule, presenting a performance by Timothy Spelbring at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 27.

A graduate student of Martin Jean at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, Spelbring did his undergraduate work at the Oberlin Conservatory and has been awarded the Westfield Center’s Scholar Award and a Paul Manz Scholarship. He will perform the music of J. S. Bach, Mendelssohn, Dumage, Widor and Alain.

The Trinity organ was designed and built for the church by Martin Pasi Organ Builders of Roy, Wash. The 29 stop, two manual, mechanical action instrument is encased in an Italianate freestanding black walnut case.

A free will offering is requested for admission to the concert. Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 6215 196th St. SW in Lynnwood. For more information, call Norma Aamodt-Nelson, minister of music at 425-778-2159 or Penny Lorenz, chair of the organ recital committee at 425-745-1316.
