Turning Point – February 2007 – Steve Peiffle

I’m one of those unusual people who had an inkling of my future career as an attorney from an early age. No reason. No family members who were attorneys. I wasn’t a huge Perry Mason fan or anything like that. I grew up in Illinois, graduated from Valparaiso University in Indiana, then came to the University of Washington for my law degree. Since then, I’ve been Arlington’s city attorney for 18 years, along with real estate, corporate planning and estate planning in my practice. I’ve had the good fortune of being affiliated with good teachers at the law firm who showed me it takes community involvement to be a good lawyer in a small town. That’s one reason I’ve been involved with the local chamber of commerce in various roles, including 15 years on the board.
