A variety of road construction projects are going on around the Mill Creek area. Here is an update on various projects.

Dumas Road

Construction of new retaining walls is nearly complete, and backfilling will be done as the concrete cures. Installation of decorative rock facing continues on the top of the walls, and the contractor has started building the new rockeries on the uphill side of the road. During this past week, placement of the precast barrier walls between the roadway and sidewalk began.

Because of construction, Dumas Road is closed to all traffic between North Creek Drive and the Park and Ride facility at 132nd Street SE. Detour routes are Bothell-Everett Highway, 16th Avenue SE and 132nd Street SE. Dumas is scheduled to reopen the last week of June.

Construction updates are also available by calling 425-921-5769.

West of Mill Creek

A daytime lane closure on Cascadian Way is expected to end Friday, June 3. Crews are closing a lane on Cascadian just off 164th Street SW to excavate a gas valve and install wiring.

East of Mill Creek

A daytime lane closure on 35th Avenue SE north of 162nd Place SE will end Wednesday, June 1. Crews are cutting and capping gas service to a home scheduled for demolition.
