On the Edmonds School Board, all incumbents appear to have retained their seats.

Recently appointed school board member Susan Paine had a nice birthday gift on election day, with results putting her well ahead of Gilbert Honanie Jr., an architect, for position 1. As of The Enterprise deadline, Paine had received 21,647 votes to Honanie’s 5,268.

“I’m just pleased and can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and do a little bit more,” said Paine, 44.

Bruce Williams was leading challenger Roger “Cowboy” Wilson in the race for position 4 on the board, 20,199 votes to 7,326 as of The Enterprise deadline.

Williams, 49, a physician who owns Edmonds Internal Medicine, has served on the school board since 1997 and is its current president.

“I appreciate the confidence of the voters,” Williams said.

Wilson, 78, is a retired teacher.

Unopposed in her race for election was Ann McMurray, who was appointed to fill position 2 on the board in February 2005. As of The Enterprise deadline, McMurray had garnered more than 98 percent of the votes.
