The Edmonds Woodway girls basketball team narrowly escaped a season-ending loss with a 43-40 victory over Cascade on Feb. 21 at Marysville-Pilchuck High School.

Angela Woods scored 13 points and Jennifer Singh added 10 for the Warriors, who are two wins away from the third seed into state. Edmonds Woodway’s second-leading scorer, Abby Butler (12.6 points per game), went down with an injury early in the fourth quarter. Coach Wayne Edwards said it was unknown if she will be able to play in the Warriors’ next game on Feb. 25.
