Washington Federal hires new Snohomish branch manager

New Washington Federal branch manager in Snohomish

Washington Federal has named Sarah De Jong as branch manager of its Snohomish branch office. De Jong, a resident of Snohomish, joined Washington Federal in 2008. Prior to accepting the branch manager role, she served as a loan coordinator. Her previous retail banking experience also includes working as a customer service supervisor and a customer service representative.

New vice president for Skagit Bank

Skagit Bank named Peter Cutbill as the new senior vice president and commercial banking manager on July 8. He will manage Skagit Bank’s commercial lending efforts which cover Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish and King counties. Previously, Cutbill was senior vice president and commercial region manager for Whidbey Island Bank.

PNAA hosts annual defense, space and security conference

Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance’s Annual Defense, Space and Security Conference is scheduled for Oct. 8 at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. Topics include the state of the defense industry, developments in the domestic and international UAV marketplace and more. Farmers internship program expands to Snohomish County

The Farm Internship Project has expanded and now includes Snohomish County. The project from Washington State Department of Labor &Industries brings small farms together with people who want to learn farming practices. It was first introduced in 2010. Small farms with annual sales of less than $250,000 per year are eligible to enroll.
