What to watch this week
1. Lynnwood/Shorecrest girls basketball: The Royals look to move up in the Wesco 3A standings against the second-place Scots. The teams face off at 7:15 p.m., Jan. 19 at Lynnwood High School. Shorecrest won a thriller 50-48 on Dec. 14 on its home court. Onyie Chibuogwu led the Scots with a season-high 18 points. Lynnwood’s Meghan Cross and Arsenia Ivanov each scored 11 points.
2. Mountlake Terrace/Marysville Getchell girls basketball: The Hawks need every victory they can muster as they vie for a playoff berth. Game time is 7:15 p.m., Jan. 18 at Marysville Getchell High School. Mountlake Terrace previously prevailed 55-31 wth Maddy Kristjanson leading the way with 18 points.
3. Edmonds-Woodway/Jackson girls basketball: The Warriors take on the first-place Timberwolves at 7:15 p.m., Jan. 19 at Edmonds-Woodway High School. Jackson won 56-43 in the first meeting on Dec. 7.
