We’re scheduled to receive warm temperatures and sunny skies these next few days – finally! – the perfect weather to enjoy a tropical drink.
A fruity cocktail with friends on the deck is the perfect way to spend a summer evening. Try the popular Sex on the Beach – a mix of vodka, peach schnapps, crème de cassis, and orange and cranberry juices – or put a tropical twist on your favorite drink. The pineapple mojito has the same minty flavors as the original, but adds pineapple slices and juice for a taste of the islands.
These classic cocktails can also be served frozen – simply toss the ingredients into the blender with ice, mix and enjoy.
For a refreshing but nonalcoholic drink, smoothies made with seasonal fruit are a sure-fire hit. Of course, there’s always lemonade, a summer standby that can be glammed up with mango flavoring.
What is your favorite tropical drink? Where do you get it?
My favorite is a strawberry-coconut daiquiri made with Malibu rum.

You can’t go wrong with a mai tai! I just learned that it means “good” in Tahitian.

I’m already dreaming of the tequila sunrise they’re going to hand me when I walk into that Mexican resort. Vacation. Starts. Then.

A lava flow — those things are delicious!!!
