Archbishop Murphy’s Amy Renslo and Katie Main finished one-two in the 100-yard butterfly to lead Archbishop Murphy to third place in its first-ever Class 2A District 1 meet.
Renslo’s winning time was 1 minute, 3.67 seconds, while Main finished in 1:04.78.
Both swimmers qualified for the state meet Nov. 13-15 at the King County Aquatic Center.
Anacortes won the district title with 293 points, Squalicum was second with 267 and Archbishop Murphy was third with 190 points.
Renslo also finished second in the 200 individual medley in 2:23.73 and qualified for state. Main finished second in the 500 freestyle in 5:30.27 and qualified for state.
Diver Rosalie Corrigan qualified for state by finishing second in her event with 164.8 points.
The Wildcats’ 200 medley relay of Sarah Bettag, Sarah Main, Amy Renslo and Bryn Michael took third and qualified for state with a time of 2:05.53.
