Windermere Real Estate will open Windermere Living Room, a new real estate retail concept, at 15418 Main Street, Suite M103, across from Cold Stone Creamery in Mill Creek Town Center. Windermere Living Room will open its doors in mid-January.

Windermere Living Room will feature plush seating and a large plasma screen displaying current listings and home improvement information as well as books and magazines on every aspect of homes and neighborhoods.

It was the thinking of Vern Holden, broker and long-time owner of the Windermere Mill Creek office, that made the Living Room concept a reality. Holden says Windermere Living Room is not a real estate office, but a community resource.

“We wanted to create a place where our neighbors could come and discover how to achieve their dream home,” Holden said. “The Living Room is a place our community can turn to when they want to learn more about making their home dreams a reality. No pressure or future obligation, just helpful information.”

Windermere Living Room offers free wireless Internet access for those needing a place to hop online, and visitors can explore the current real estate market using the PropertyPoint Home Search Kiosk. The location is staffed by a real estate expert in case visitors have questions about the local area and market. Windermere Living Room will offer free community classes on home-related topics such as feng shui, water-wise landscaping and home staging tips. Community groups are invited to reserve the meeting space for free.

“Buying a home is about more than simply writing up the transaction,” said Windermere Services CEO Geoff Wood. “The Living Room is a place to indulge yourself and dream about the possibilities of your next home or changes you might want to make to where you live now. With the introduction of this innovative concept, we hope this is the first of many Living Room locations.”

Windermere Living Room at Mill Creek will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Living Room can be reached at 425-337-1458.
