A 40-year-old Edmonds woman was transported to Harborview Medical Center after her live-in boyfriend stabbed her repeatedly late Monday with a kitchen knife .

Her injuries are non-life threatening, according to Edmonds police.

The woman’s two teenage daughters, 15 and 18, also suffered minor injuries as they attempted to stop the 33-year-old man from assaulting their mother. One of the daughters called police.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, but a police dog tracked him, and he was arrested and booked at Snohomish County Jail on three charges of felony assault, according to a statement from Edmonds police.

The attack happened just before midnight April 21 in an apartment in the 9400 block of 244th Street Southwest, in Edmonds’ Firdale neighborhood.

The police investigation is continuing, and no further information available.
