Mayor Terry Ryan and members of the Mill Creek City Council honored the graduating senior members of the Mill Creek Youth Advisory Board at the June 8 Council Meeting.
Jackson High School seniors Chinu Randhawa, Alex Massengale, Jillian Cramer, Thu Ninh and Kevin Park were recognized and thanked for their service to the community.
The Youth Advisory Board was created in 2001 and is made up of 28 students from middle and high schools in the Mill Creek community.
During the 2003-04 school year, the board did more than 208 hours of community service projects. These projects included Music in the Park, Mill Creek Tree Lighting, Snohomish Youth Summit, Mill Creek Sports Park and Skate Park openings and the Heatherwood Food Drive.
The board meets the first Wednesday of the month at Mill Creek City Hall. Meetings will resume in September.
