Conservatives supported it

I read with much interest the Oct. 11 column by Julie Muhlstein about receiving a call from a woman named Wynona who was furious at the need for women to be afraid to be alone while jogging, walking, shopping, etc. Ms. Muhlstein’s account of her own experience was chilling. For reasons that are clear from her account, I always accompany my own wife walking or visiting the shopping malls after dark. It’s not worth the risk; I share their anger. However, I have a question. Wynona asked Ms. Muhlstein what lawmakers are doing to “get these creeps off the street … and to stop letting them out to hurt again?”

The answer is that some lawmakers are doing something. They’re called conservatives. And what they did was support the “three strikes, you’re out” legislation. Ask yourselves, who opposed them? Think about it.
