Is anyone looking out for future?

The traffic situation that has developed in our region is monstrous. We are currently being hit by skyrocketing electrical prices associated with shortages. Does anyone consider planning for the future? Is anyone willing to take the necessary steps to secure a better tomorrow?
We are told by our political leader, who made millions working for the oil industry, that conservation is not an option. Now our federal energy policy is to produce more of that nonrenewable energy resource to feed the inefficient machines that are idling on our congested roads. Machines that are unnecessarily burning a fuel that is destroying Earth’s atmosphere, the reason why life can exist on this planet.
Is someone becoming wealthy at the expense of our future? Does ‘conservative’ mean greedy and totally irresponsible?
