All-day classes are nothing new

The Nov. 25 article, “Kindergarten Double Time” would tend to make people believe that all-day kindergarten was devised out of the blue!

Believe me, all-day kindergarten has been in existence for eons. I don’t know where the school system changed to half-days; but I am glad the system has its eyes open again!

Graduation exercises for those advancing to first grade! Let’s have graduation exercises for those little ones who finally graduate from toilet training. Be sensible. Education is education, whether the student finishes kindergarten or high school juniors.

Stop spoon-feeding the children. They need to “get their lumps” regardless of where they fit in the system.
