It looks like city has more spending plans

I especially enjoyed the heading to Susan Handy’s Jan. 22 letter about the events center, “Another ‘Everett as usual’ project.”

As I sit here stopped in the daily gridlock at the 41st Street on-ramp to I-5, a glance through the thick bushes to the east shows me a huge mountain of dirt being constructed. I assume it is to be connected by a bridge (to be constructed) to 41st Street to create a dream road to what appears to be a small nowhere – the river flood plains. Another tunnel vision act by the city of Everett at a time when we are crying for help with traffic congestion! What will they find that we don’t need next so they can spend tax dollars?
