Not all companies are fleeing our area

Regarding the Jan. 26 guest editorial, “Boeing’s message must lead to state action,” by Rep. Dave Schmidt: I don’t dispute Rep. Schmidt’s statements, but I would like to have him name companies that are fleeing our state. I would also ask him why, if our regulations and permitting are so difficult, do we see so many commercial and industrial buildings going up on former farms and woodlands. And I would like him to explain how we can lower taxes and loosen regulations and still keep our level of services and quality of environment where they are.
