Why are people so afraid of religion?

Headlines scream “under God” is unconstitutional. Bah. I never heard such pea-brained nincompoop from so-called intelligent sources. Separation of church and state – as if the churches have a monopoly on God. Are all our coins that have “In God we Trust” now illegal, too?

And where in the Constitution does it say anything about separation of church and state? The first Amendment merely states that the “Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof …”

What is the agenda of these people who are so afraid of religion?
