According to Herald reporters, those poor, tired, old Seattle Mariners just couldn’t hack it.

They had only the fourth best winning percentage in the American League. They had winning records against Oakland, the Yankees, Anaheim, Boston, the White Sox, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Detroit, Cleveland, Kansas City, and six of the ten National League teams they played. Let’s hope they can do as well next year. Go Mariners!
