Everett, CT need to find solutions

As long as Community Transit continues in its belief that it can consume Everett Transit, everyone will suffer. Both sides need to sit down and discuss an equitable plan that will work for both Everett and Community Transit.

I have been riding Everett Paratransit for more than five years now and overall I am quite happy with the service. Like every transportation system, it has problems and with the change comes growth, which brings new problems.

I travel daily from downtown Everett to south Everett and vice versa. There are days when my 15-20 minute commute takes 60-90 minutes. Many people who ride regular buses and cars have longer commutes. I am not saying that I am happy when my ride home takes so long, but you know we are picking up and dropping off other passengers along the way. Instead of having to say no to a passenger for a ride, it just makes my commute a little longer.

Even in today’s rush-rush world, I hope I still have some of the patience I was raised with.
