One sacrifice is no greater than others

I was sorry to learn about the combat death of Pat Tillman, a very talented athlete. However, I must take exception to the media coverage about it. Pat Tillman was a soldier, and his death is not any more important than the death of any other soldier.
Many other talented athletes who never had the opportunity to advance into professional sports – because they joined the military before attending college – and other talented individuals are dying as soldiers.
To create a hullabaloo about the death of one solider, I believe, demeans the deaths of the others.
