Deserve a big round of applause and thanks

I would like to take a minute to give a big round of applause for the AARP Tax Assistants who volunteered Wednesday evenings from February through mid-April at the Mountlake Terrace Public Library. Thanks to Judy Brown, Les Minnig and coordinator Renee Herigstad for providing outstanding tax assistance.

Each week for more than four hours at a stretch they patiently helped large numbers of people lined up at the Mountlake Terrace Library with this free service. Their volunteer commitment included answering questions, e-filing tax returns and providing solid information about tax questions. And they make it seem so easy! I tip my hat and give thanks from all the staff at the library to these three amazing, kind and hard-working people who help us all be a stronger community. We are indeed grateful! Volunteers like Judy, Les and Renee are an inspiration to us.
