Enough is enough, it’s time for revolt

Published 9:00 pm Wednesday, August 10, 2005

You see them in cars, slowing down traffic. You hear them sounding off in theaters and movies. They assail you in restaurants. Your shopping is constantly disrupted by their owners’ rudeness. Now, Boeing is developing a system to provide cell phone use aboard airliners. If there is a time to revolt, it is now. Can any sane person begin to imagine being trapped shoulder-to-shoulder between a Chatty Cathy and Big Mouth Bob for 4-8 hours while they rattle on and on and on, ad nauseam? Would this not be a legal form of terrorism that all those long airport security check lines could not prevent?

Rise up fellow travelers and refuse to fly on any airplane offering that service. Flying today is one of the few places left to escape diarrhea of the mouth – please Boeing, build planes, not plagues.
